How do I start tracking a watch?

From the Home tab, tap on any watch in the "Recently Worn" or "Needs Love" sections. You'll see a popup with options to "Start Wearing" the watch. You can also tap the play button overlay on any watch thumbnail to quickly start wearing it.

How does the free trial work?

When you first install WearTime, you automatically get a 45-day free trial with full access to all Pro features. No credit card is required. After the trial ends, you can continue using the free tier (3 watches, basic features) or subscribe to Pro for unlimited access.

What happens to my data if I don't subscribe?

Your data is always preserved! If your trial ends and you don't subscribe, you'll still have access to your first 3 watches and all your wear history. You just won't be able to add more watches or access Pro features until you subscribe.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → WearTime → Cancel Subscription. You'll retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period.

Is my data backed up?

By default, your data is stored locally on your device and included in your iPhone backups. You can also enable iCloud Sync in Settings → Data & Sync to keep your collection in sync across devices using your personal iCloud account.

Does WearTime have widgets?

Yes. WearTime includes Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets that show your currently worn watch and wear time at a glance. Add them from the iOS widget gallery.

How do I add photos to a watch?

Open any watch from your Collection, then tap the Camera or Library button below the main image. You can add up to 15 photos per watch with a Pro subscription (1 photo in the free tier). The app uses smart cropping to focus on the watch dial.

How does smart detection work?

When adding a new watch, you can take or select a photo and the app will automatically try to detect the brand, model, and reference number using image recognition. This saves time and helps ensure accuracy.

Can I track multiple watches at once?

Yes! With a Pro subscription, you can track up to 6 watches being worn simultaneously. This is great for collectors who wear multiple watches or want to track watches on different wrists. Free users can track 1 watch at a time.

How do service reminders work?

Set a service interval for each watch (e.g., 5 years) and the app will track when service is due. The Collection view shows status indicators: green (OK), yellow (due soon), red (overdue). You can also set daily reminders to check your active watch.

How do I export my data?

Data export is a Pro feature coming in a future update. You'll be able to export your complete collection and wear history as JSON or CSV files for backup or analysis.

What's the difference between Monthly and Yearly subscriptions?

Both subscriptions give you the same Pro features. The yearly subscription costs $12/year (equivalent to $1/month), saving you 50% compared to the monthly subscription at $1.99/month. The yearly plan is the best value for committed collectors.

I have a promo code. How do I redeem it?

Go to Settings → Subscription → Redeem Code. This will open Apple's offer code redemption sheet where you can enter your code. Once redeemed, your subscription will be activated immediately.
